Our
Story
Written by Lyndsay
Scott
and Lyndsay first met on a semi-double-date around 1995. Lyndsay's
friend Denise liked Scott's friend Lorne, so for safety and comfort
reasons the four of them went out together. They bowled a couple
games and then had coffee. After that they did not see each other
for a few years.
Scott's
friendships with Denise and some of Lyndsay's other friends grew
as he joined their 'group of friend'. However Lyndsay, who was off
at UBC, still didn't know Scott very well. It wasn't until the summer
in 1998 that Scott and Lyndsay became friends.
Lyndsay
was always attracted to Scott, who can resist a tall, dark and handsome
man, but Scott didn't find himself interested in Lyndsay until a
New Years Eve party (celebrating the beginning of 1999). That party
was a turning point for the two of them. They partied and flirted
into the night, that is until Lyndsay badly sprained her ankle.
The
following summer, when Lyndsay return to the Comox Valley from UBC,
Scott and Lyndsay spent all of their time together and fell in love.
They had fun that summer but unfortunately the time flew by. As
September rolled around Lyndsay left for UVic to start her next
year at school. The next eight months were long. Scott drove to
visit Lyndsay in Victoria every weekend and their love grew stronger.
By the next September Scott had enrolled in Camosun's Computer Systems
Technology program and Scott and Lyndsay moved in together.
Their
first place was a basement suite with a very nice landlord. And
it just happened that Lyndsay's cousin Jason and his wife Nikki
lived upstairs. During their time there Jason and Nikki had a baby
(Scott slept through the in-home birth), they traveled to Mexico
together, and Scott's sister Erin moved in with them. Erin and Lyndsay
became good friends and you will see her as one of the brides maids.
Scott
and Lyndsay then moved and moved and moved and now they are living
in a beautiful home with their two beautiful cats (Toby and Milo)
and they are very happy.
Every
day is a great day and Scott and Lyndsay are not just partners and
lovers, they are each others best friends. They want everyone to
be as happy as them and they hope that you will come and join them
in the celebration of their love, their wedding.
